Who is this course for?

First Aid for Drivers Training CourseEach year in the region of 3000 people die on the United Kingdoms roads. Many of these could have been saved if they received basic first aid whilst waiting for professional help. The paramedics with their advanced skills are normally only minutes away, but the confident application of basic techniques may buy the time for them to arrive. This course is suitable for all road users, whether taxi or haulage drivers, couriers, salespeople or domestic car/motorcycle users.

What do you cover?

The delegates receive instruction in:

  • What to do in an emergency;
  • Communication with the emergency services;
  • How to perform Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation;
  • First aid for the unconscious casualty;
  • First Aid for the wounded or bleeding;
  • Causes of collapse;
  • Contents of a first aid kit

The course includes practical scenarios and consolidates the above by covering:

  • What to do on finding a Road Traffic Collision (RTC);
  • First Aid at a Road Traffic Collision.
